Job summary

Axis Group Belgium is seeking an Investments Risk Controller to oversee risk management across advisory and discretionary activities, ensuring compliance with local standards. You will provide critical feedback to portfolio managers and help produce monthly risk dashboards and reports, collaborating across teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, has at least two years of relevant experience, and is fluent in Dutch and French with strong English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Advisory and Discretionary Portfolio Management activities for compliance with diversification and asset allocation standards.
• Provide feedback to portfolio managers when control results indicate improvements.
• Collaborate to produce a monthly Risk Dashboard and Portfolio Risk Report.
• Assist in routine operations by handling validations, guidance, and inquiries from portfolio and relationship managers.
• Report on and lead discussions on portfolio risk management topics across the department and groups.
• Participate in the Investment Services Risk Committee and follow up on actions.
• Establish new control mechanisms to strengthen oversight and compliance.

• You conduct oversight on Advisory Portfolio Management, Discretionary Portfolio Management, and Execution Only activities, ensuring compliance with diversification and asset allocation standards as per local regulations and organizational protocols;
• You provide constructive feedback to portfolio managers when control results indicate a need for improvement;
• You collaborate with your team to enhance and produce a monthly Risk Dashboard and Portfolio Risk Report, which serve as essential tools for risk monitoring;
• You assist the team in routine operations by addressing daily ad hoc requests for validations, guidance, and inquiries from both portfolio managers and relationship managers;
• You report on, lead discussions, and track portfolio risk management topics within the department, fostering collaboration with other teams within the organization and the broader group;
• You take part in the Investment Services Risk Committee, focusing on assigned topics and ensuring follow-up on designated action items;
• You establish new control mechanisms to strengthen oversight and compliance.

• Possesses exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in both Dutch and French;
• Has a deep understanding of the English language;
• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field;
• Brings a minimum of two years of pertinent experience to the position;
• Demonstrates an independent and proactive attitude in their work;
