Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance in Brussels is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to drive transformational M&A and capital markets transactions. You will collaborate with senior bankers and support the execution of transactions across the deal lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in a relevant field, 3+ years of experience, and is fluent in either French or Dutch with English. The role promises an attractive compensation package and opportunities for ongoing development.

To support our continued growth, we are hiring an Investment Banking Associate to join our Belgium-based team.

Your position

You will work across a broad range of M&A, capital markets and advisory assignments, collaborating closely with senior bankers and playing an active role throughout the deal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting origination by preparing client pitches and participating in commercial meetings
• Playing a key role in executing transactions across the full deal lifecycle
• Building financial models and performing in depth company, industry and market analysis
• Preparing high-impact presentations and client materials
• Coordinating with clients, advisors and other stakeholders
• Coaching and supervising Analysts and Interns

Your profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity or Corporate Development
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
• Solid academic background (Master’s degree in economics, business engineering, civil engineering or law with finance specialization)
• Strong interest in M&A, capital markets and corporate strategy
• Native in French with fluency in Dutch and English, or Native in Dutch with fluency in French and English
• Excellent communication skills and client-oriented mindset
• Thrive in fast-paced, team-driven environments and committed to high professional standards
