Bosch Group in Belgium, Tienen, offers an internship in the Technical Functions Department for six months full-time. The role supports Machine Maintenance with continuous improvement, pilot testing, and digitalization projects, aimed at reducing costs and improving reliability.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor or Master with a technical background, are hands-on, and have an affinity for maintenance; EU nationality is required. Monthly reimbursement up to 800 EUR accompanies the internship.

Responsabilidades

• Support the TEF21-team responsible for Machine Maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes (PM, breakdowns, spare parts stock).
• Kick off pilot cases to move from preventive to condition-based/predictive maintenance.
• Develop low-level tools for root-cause analysis of recurring breakdowns.
• Advance digitalization projects (e.g., scanning/app for spare parts stock).

Robert Bosch Produktie N.V., located in Tienen, Belgium, is within the Bosch Group the lead plant and worldwide center of competence for development, engineering, and manufacturing of wiper arms. Customers are both original equipment automotive car manufacturers and aftermarket customers. A part of the Bosch strategy, we offer students the opportunity to participate in an internship at our location.

Safety, Cost efficiency and quality are our main focus points, and to maintain the excellent position we are at, we strive for: continuous improvement of our equipment efficiency, proactive work on process understanding and root cause analysis, introduction of new process and process automatisation to reduce manufacturing cost and introduction of new products to improve customer satisfaction.

If you are looking for a position where you can take initiative, learn, and bring added value in an industrial environment, you are the student we are looking for. The internship will ideally last 6 months and will be fulltime.

Support the TEF21-team responsible for Machine Maintenance with:

• Continuous improvement in the processes: Preventive Maintenance/ Breakdowns/ Spare parts stock;
• Starting up pilot case(s) to step up from preventive maintenance to condition based/ predictive/ data driven maintenance;
• Finding a low level tool for technicians to do rootcause analysis on re-occuring breakdowns;
• Further digitalization projects (for ex. Scanning/app @ spare parts stock to easily find parts in the warehouse).

The internship requires that you have the nationality of a EU-country.

The personal experience of the interns is usually the following: The company employs 10-15 interns all year round from various countries. Therefore this is also a great opportunity to enhance your social and language skills. The interns live mostly in Tienen or in Leuven, known as a multicultural university city. You receive 800 € as expense reimbursement per month.
