EASI is looking for a Network Security Engineering intern to join our team in Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium. This internship offers hands-on experience within a professional team, where you will assist in designing and implementing network solutions while gaining insights into the field.

We're seeking candidates currently pursuing a degree in IT or networking, with strong analytical skills and a good command of both Dutch and English. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on your own project and may lead to a permanent position.

As a Network Security Engineering intern, you will be fully integrated into our team and gain hands‑on experience alongside our experienced engineers. You will learn how to understand client needs and actively contribute to designing and implementing network solutions. This way, you’ll get a realistic and complete view of life at Easi.

You will join our Network Security team within the MIT infrastructure department.

After a personalized training program, you will:

• Actively contribute within the Network Security team and support ongoing projects
• Assist in designing network solutions that meet customer requirements
• Learn to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot network & security infrastructure: VLAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, Firewalling, VPN‑connections etc.
• Support NOC engineers with service requests and incidents
• Contribute to documenting and improving procedures
• Collaborate closely with your team and engage with customers

In addition, you will work on your own networking/security project, aligned with your interests and studies.

Must-have

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, networking, or cybersecurity
• Eager to learn, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• A good listener with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable with customer contact and working in a collaborative environment
• Have a very good level of Dutch and a good level of English

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with vendors such as Fortinet, Cato Networks, Aruba, Mimecast or SentinelOne
• Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Basic understanding of networking technologies and principles, including routing, switching, NAT, IPSec, BGP, OSPF and WLAN
• Relevant certifications or coursework in networking or security
