Degroof Petercam is offering an internship in its Performance Management team in Brussels. You will monitor financial performance and prepare analyses for management, supporting closing, forecasting and budgeting across revenues and costs.

You will also help develop analytical materials with data, charts and comments to aid decision-making and participate in process improvements including documentation and data quality checks.

Qualificações

• We are looking for a Master’s student within an academic internship under university agreement.
• The internship is intended for students still enrolled in their studies, not yet graduated.

Context

The Performance Management team plays a key role in steering the business through closing, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis processes. In a context where cost control and selective investment initiatives are closely monitored by management, the team provides essential support in understanding results and anticipating potential deviations. It also contributes to the continuous improvement of reporting, data controls and production processes. This internship therefore offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to an analytical, cross-functional and high-visibility environment.

Your position

• As an intern within the Performance Management team, you will actively contribute to the monitoring of financial performance and to the preparation of analyses for management.
• You will support the closing, forecasting and budgeting processes, both on revenues and costs, by helping produce reports, analysing data quality and identifying key trends.
• You will also be involved in preparing analytical materials including data, charts and comments, in order to facilitate the reading of results and support decision‐making. In addition, you will contribute to the consolidation of inputs and to the development of analytical views that help explain the evolution of results across different time horizons, from actuals to landing and forward‑looking projections.
• The internship will also include a tools and process improvement dimension. You will support process documentation, testing exercises, reconciliations between data submitted to Group reporting tools and internal reporting, as well as checks of calculations performed in the team’s reporting tools. You may also contribute to identifying concrete improvements related to data quality, controls, automation of validation steps and adaptation of reporting outputs.
• In this role, you will work closely with the members of the Performance Management team, as well as with the cost analysis and accounting teams. The internship will provide a practical understanding of financial steering challenges, while offering broad exposure and strong visibility on management expectations.

Your profile

Education & Background

• We are looking for a Master’s student within the framework of an academic internship under university agreement. The internship is intended for students in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, Business Analytics or a related field.
• The target profile is a student who is still enrolled in his/her studies, not a candidate who has already graduated.

Hard Skills

• The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in management finance, reporting and performance steering. Very good command of Excel and PowerPoint is expected.
• Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query is desirable.
• Familiarity with Anaplan and/or Oracle would be considered an asset, but is not required.

Soft Skills

• We are looking for a rigorous, structured and curious person who is eager to learn in a demanding environment.
• The candidate should be able to analyse data accurately, demonstrate critical thinking, communicate clearly both in writing and orally, and work reliably within recurring production cycles.
• Flexibility, attention to detail and good stress resistance are also important.

Availability

Internship availability: Full‑time preferred, as of Jan/Feb. 2027, for a minimum period of 3 months
