Toyota Motor Europe’s Powertrain Division seeks an engineering student intern to support battery pack design. You’ll create CAD models, develop components, validate designs with stakeholders, and assist benchmarking. Ideal candidates study mechanical or electrical engineering, work independently in multicultural teams, and have strong English and 3D design software skills.
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.
You will be joining the Powertrain Battery Design Department, responsible for the development of battery pack components. Typically, the battery pack are made of several components (casing, busbars, connectors, etc.) that require several development processes (design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing). Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
