BESIX is seeking an Interior Architect for bespoke interior design projects in Belgium. You will translate clients' aspirations into high-quality workplace concepts and lead design through concept development and technical coordination.

Responsibilities include developing concepts and layouts, preparing mood boards, coordinating technical drawings, and ensuring project feasibility through site visits and liaison with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of experience in interior architecture or workplace design.
• Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
• Genuine affinity for interior design, materials and finishes.
• Experience reading, creating and editing plans independently.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Creative, aesthetically minded and solution oriented.
• Fluent in Dutch and French; English is a plus.

For one of its affiliate companies specializing in bespoke interior design projects for private homeowners, property developers, construction companies and architects, BESIX is looking for an Interior Architect with a genuine passion for design, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to translate clients' aspirations into exceptional interior concepts.

This position is based in Belgium.

Job Description

As an Interior Architect, you design functional and inspiring office environments that meet clients' needs and support new ways of working. You combine creativity, technical expertise, and project coordination skills to deliver high-quality workplace solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Design & Concept Development

• Develop workplace concepts, layouts, and space planning solutions.
• Create interior design proposals, material selections, and mood boards.
• Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Adapt designs according to client requirements and project constraints.

Technical Design & Coordination

• Produce and coordinate technical drawings and design documentation.
• Read and interpret architectural and technical plans.
• Work with design and visualisation software.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Project Follow-up

• Participate in site visits and monitor project progress.
• Ensure design quality and feasibility throughout the project.
• Support the smooth handover of projects to execution teams.
• Stay up to date with workplace trends, materials, and innovative office solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of experience in interior architecture, workplace design, or commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong commercial skills and a natural customer-focused approach.
• A genuine affinity for interior design, materials and finishes.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Ability to independently read, create and modify plans.
• Creative, aesthetically minded and solution-oriented.
• Fluent in Dutch and French. English is a plus.
