Job summary
Expleo is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and validate onboard installation components for rail projects. You will design with CAD, lead BOM creation, and coordinate with electrical engineers to finalize installation solutions.
Required are a Master in Engineering and strong CAD experience, with English at B2 level. French is a plus, and familiarity with ENOVIA PLM and FEM/FEA is beneficial for the role.
Qualifications
- Master degree in Engineering or equivalent; prior design experience in an engineering dept is required.
- Proficiency with CAD software and mechanical schematics dimensioning.
- Knowledge of railways is an asset; familiarity with V-cycles and FEM/FEA is a plus.
- Familiarity with ENOVIA PLM and 3D scanners is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Participate to train surveys and define installation principles; prepare descriptive documents for customer approval.
- Conceive and design installation means with CAD tools; support validation of mechanical designs.
- Build BOMs compliant with train constraints and standards; collaborate with electrical engineers.
- Draw up installation procedures and optimize processes from manufacturing to on-site delivery.
- Improve logistics, kitting, and prefitment/pre-assembly processes; define best practices.
