Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced Technical Project Leader to coordinate IT projects with a strong technical component within a large railway and transport infrastructure environment.

The role combines technical project management, application management and coordination of technical teams. The Project Leader will oversee projects from scope definition and planning through implementation, production deployment, maintenance and support.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Leader to coordinate IT projects with a strong technical component within a large railway and transport infrastructure environment.

The role combines technical project management, application management and coordination of technical teams. The Project Leader will oversee projects from scope definition and planning through implementation, production deployment, maintenance and support.

A strong understanding of IT quality is essential, including the ability to assess and review technical deliverables and perform or review code reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope and prepare project specifications.
• Estimate the resources required for projects.
• Plan, organize and monitor project activities, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
• Monitor project quality and manage risks and issues.
• Coordinate technical teams, including developers, testers and analysts.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders and other parties involved.
• Supervise the application lifecycle, including development, integration and maintenance.
• Oversee deployment and production implementation.
• Ensure the performance, quality and continuity of delivered applications and services.
• Act as the interface between business and IT, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate project and technical documentation.
• Assess and review the IT quality of projects, including through code reviews.
• Take on additional responsibilities as the project evolves.

Experience is also required with:

Required Profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience coordinating technical teams such as developers, testers and analysts.
• Solid experience in application management across development, integration and maintenance.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working at the interface between business and IT.
• Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with UML, flowcharts and BPMN.
• Ability to assess IT quality and perform/review code reviews.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• Excellent command of Dutch and French, both written and spoken.
