What a day as an Information Security Consultant looks like

As an Information Security Consultant, your role involves a blend of autonomy, collaboration, and impactful work to strengthen clients’ cybersecurity maturity.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting senior consultants in delivering tailored information- & cybersecurity solutions to clients.
• Analysing and documenting clients' existing security practices through interviews and assessments to evaluate their current information security posture.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), including drafting and refining policies and procedures.
• Performing third-party risk and security assessments to ensure vendor and partner compliance with security standards.
• Creating and implementing roadmaps with recommendations that enhance clients’ cybersecurity maturity.
• Assisting the internal Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in reaching the information security goals.
• Collaborating with senior consultants to create high-quality reports and solutions aligned with industry standards and best practices.
• Contributing independently and as part of a team to ensure the successful execution of projects tailored to client needs.

Qualifications

• A background in IT or a strong interest, either through education or hands‑on experience.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 (certification is a plus).
• 2 to 4 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity‑related roles.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.Able to translate complex information into high‑quality reports and can present them to different types of stakeholders.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required. Professional knowledge of French is considered a plus.
