What a day as a Senior Information Security Consultant looks like

As a Senior Information Security Consultant, you play a pivotal role in guiding organisations to enhance their cybersecurity maturity and resilience. Your responsibilities encompass leadership, strategic oversight, and mentoring, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading cybersecurity maturity projects, helping clients achieve readiness for NIS2 or ISO27001 certifications.

• Designing and implementing robust risk management, governance, and business continuity frameworks tailored to client requirements.

• Acting as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for clients across diverse industries, providing strategic oversight and strengthening their security posture.

• Overseeing the development and implementation of cybersecurity frameworks (eg. ISO27001), ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

• Mentoring and coaching junior consultants, improving their technical expertise and consulting capabilities.

• Monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with client objectives, timelines, and budget expectations while delivering results.

Requirements:

Who you are

• You are a experienced cybersecurity expert with a passion for driving impactful change.

• You are able to lead projects and mentor your fellow team members.

• You possess excellent communication skills and can engage with clients to inspire confidence in your guidance.

• You are flexible and like to change it up in different projects.

Qualifications

• A certification such as CISM, CIPPT, or extensive experience in IT management.

• Prefered:ISO27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor certification and/or NIS2 Lead Implementer certification.

• At least 5 years of experience in information- & cybersecurity or IT management roles.

• Strong knowledge of risk management, governance frameworks, and business continuity practices.

• Proven ability to mentor junior colleagues and lead diverse teams.

• Fluency in Dutch and English is required. Professional knowledge of French is considered a plus.
