ConSol Partners is seeking an Information Management Specialist for an initial 1-year contract in Leuven, Belgium. The role is on-site (3 days per week) with an ASAP start and a 40-hour week, focusing on Open Science and data governance across research projects.

You will lead the adoption of data catalogs, support researchers with information asset management, and drive workshops and training. Master’s degree or equivalent experience and Dutch/English fluency are required.

Information Management Specialist

Initial 1 year contract (consultant) + possible extensions

The assignment

• Drive Open Science & support researchers.
• Implement Open Science principles through cross‑institutional collaboration and our client‑wide information management projects.
• Lead the business adoption of the data catalog and business glossary and ensure they become an integral part of researchers’ workflows.
• Guide researchers in managing their information assets (datasets, definitions, reports, code, and machine‑learning models) using workshops, visual tools, training materials and a variety of communication channels.
• Provide assistance in preparing and completing.
• Data Management Plans and oversee their implementation within relevant projects.
• Structure, Improve & Contribute to Information management.
• Tooling Collaborate with ICT, researchers, and business stakeholders to gather needs, create prototypes, and validate tool capabilities.
• Collect structured feedback, user insights, and improvement recommendations to selection, configuration, or enhancement of information management tooling.
• Identify and develop improvements to policies, guidelines, standards, processes, templates, terminology, metadata, … to help both research and business users work consistently and efficiently.
• Design, set up and structure document libraries that support the information lifecycle in close collaboration with researchers.
• Define and maintain ontologies that bring coherence to terminology and definitions across our client, create a supporting reference data management tool.
