ConSol Partners in Vlaams-Brabant, Belgium, seeks a driven Information Governance Consultant for a 1-year assignment (40 hours/week) with possible extensions. The role focuses on Open Science, data catalogs, ontologies, and supporting researchers through workshops, training, and collaborative tool development.

You'll guide researchers in managing datasets, definitions, reports, code, and models; collaborate with ICT and business stakeholders; ensure metadata standards across projects, and help

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of work experience OR demonstrated high potential as an analytically strong junior.
• Affinity and interest in information/data governance and metadata management.
• Working proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• SharePoint expertise is considered a great plus; Power BI experience is a plus.

• Lead the business adoption of the data catalog and business glossary and ensure they become an integral part of researchers’ workflows.
• Guide researchers in managing their information assets (datasets, definitions, reports, code, and ML models) using workshops, visual tools, training materials and various channels.
• Provide assistance in preparing and completing Data Management Plans and oversee their implementation within relevant projects.
• Structure, improve & contribute to information management.
• Collaborate with ICT, researchers, and business stakeholders to gather needs, create prototypes, and validate tool capabilities.
• Collect structured feedback and improvement recommendations for tooling selection, configuration, or enhancement.

The assignment

• Drive Open Science & support researchers.

• Guide researchers in managing their information assets (datasets, definitions, reports, code, and machine‑learning models) using workshops, visual tools, training materials and a variety of communication channels.
• Provide assistance in preparing and completing.
• Data Management Plans and oversee their implementation within relevant projects.
• Structure, Improve & Contribute to Information management.
• Tooling Collaborate with ICT, researchers, and business stakeholders to gather needs, create prototypes, and validate tool capabilities.
• Collect structured feedback, user insights, and improvement recommendations to selection, configuration, or enhancement of information management tooling.
• Identify and develop improvements to policies, guidelines, standards, processes, templates, terminology, metadata, … to help both research and business users work consistently and efficiently.
• Design, set up and structure document libraries that support the information lifecycle in close collaboration with researchers.
• Define and maintain ontologies that bring coherence to terminology and definitions across our client, create a supporting reference data management tool.
