Job summary

Expleo is seeking an experienced Project Manager for high-value, technically complex projects in the Railway, Automotive and Aeronautic industries. You will lead a Project Core Team, manage scope, time and cost, and coordinate with clients across international projects.

You will ensure process adherence, risk control, and continuous improvement while operating in a matrix environment with strong communication and leadership skills. Hybrid work options available in Belgium.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) in Industrial, Telecom, Electrical, Electronics, Automation.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing high value or technically complex projects in Railway, Automobile and/or Aeronautic Industry.
• Experience in international projects and openness to multi-cultural environment.
• Deep understanding of technical/engineering requirements and product specifications.
• Good control of contractual, financial and political stakes.
• Strong leadership and team management to enrol and motivate partners.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
• Resilience in solving complex multi-technology problems.
• Experience in matrix organisations and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project according to QCD commitments as specified at contract signature.
• Enroll, manage and obtain commitments of each member of the Project Core Team.
• Support Customer Director in proposing and negotiating variation orders with customer.
• Ensure adherence to processes and standards and support Project Quality and Safety Manager.
• Set up organisational and behaviour rules and pilot planning and resources to meet customer needs.
• Demonstrate performance in scope, time, cost, resources, risk, quality and communication management.
• Report weekly updates to Customer Services Business Director and contribute to project dashboards.
• Improve operational reliability and provide feedback to Tender team on costing.
• Enable the setup of predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Education: Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) in one or more of the following fields: Industrial, Telecom, Electrical, Electronics, Automation.
• Desired knowledge / Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of managing high value or technically complex projects in the Railway Automobile and/or Aeronautic Industry
• Experience in international projects and openness to multi-cultural environment
• Key Knowledge Areas:
• Deep understanding of technical/engineering requirements and product specifications
• Good control of contractual, financial and political stakes
• Team management excellence: to enrol & motivate internal and external partners
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills
• Resilience to cope with complex problems involving several technologies
• Experience of working in a matrix organisation
