Job summary

Imperial Brands PLC is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to safeguard production continuity and drive secure, compliant OT operations across manufacturing and supply chains. The role bridges production, engineering, maintenance, and digital tech teams, delivering improvements in reliability, automation, and data-driven decision making.

You will own production-critical OT systems, manage lifecycle, support cybersecurity controls, and coordinate with internal and external partners to

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience with production-critical automation in industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA/MES, IT/OT integration, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles, risk management, and change control.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for production-critical OT systems and ensure rapid incident resolution.
Manage lifecycle of OT hardware and software, including upgrades and patches.
Maintain MES, SCADA, PLC-connected equipment and industrial networks.
Implement OT cybersecurity controls and support risk assessments.
Identify automation opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Support OT projects from design to handover, coordinating suppliers.
