Job summary

Daikin Europe is hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement a roadmap for our Cloud and App solutions across the product range. You will shape lean architectures balancing cost and performance in collaboration with partners.

The role requires a Master’s degree and expert knowledge of at least one cloud platform (preferably AWS), with strong IoT concepts, microservice architectures, API design, and cloud security. Hybrid work from Gent is available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong interest in computer science and cloud tech.
• Expert knowledge of at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• Solid understanding of IoT concepts, including low-resource devices.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures using containers and/or serverless.
• Experience in API design and data model creation.
• Proactive in researching and prototyping new tech.
• Cloud security is a critical area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and visualize the architecture of cloud services and tools.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure designs are supported and implemented.
• Coordinate with technology suppliers and implementation partners.
• Analyze risks and assess impact of architectural changes.
