European Payments Initiative (EPI) seeks an experienced Implementation Manager to drive the Belgian and Luxembourg rollout of Wero. You will bridge banks and EPI, tailor implementation plans, and coordinate stakeholders to go-live.
You will partner with Product, Scheme, Engineering, Marketing and Operations, reporting to the Chief Implementation Officer. This remote-first role includes quarterly in-person meets and EU travel.
Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays In today’s digital Europe, payments still feel too complicated. Random delays, confusing rules, extra apps and accounts make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative is changing that with Wero, a proudly European digital wallet to make payments easier, clearer and more secure. Online, in store, at home and across borders, with your money and data protected under European laws and regulations. Wero is live in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands and launching very soon in Luxembourg and Austria. Backed by 17 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, we’re building a brand new, proudly European payment system.
You will play a key role in driving the successful implementation of EPI across the Belgian and Luxembourgish markets. Acting as the link between participating banks and the EPI organization, you will develop tailored implementation plans and ensure seamless coordination among all stakeholders through to go-live. Through regular engagement with individual members and the wider ecosystem, you will foster collaboration, share best practices, and build momentum. You will be the go‑to person for aligning efforts, resolving challenges, and maintaining a 360-degree view of progress, serving as the internal champion for EPI members and making a vital contribution to bringing EPI's vision to life. At EPI, we embrace a remote‑first culture, enabling our teams to work remotely from the country they are based in, with in‑person meetings at least once a quarter to foster collaboration and connection.
You will report directly to our Chief Implementation Officer, who brings extensive project management experience in the payments sector. You will also be part of a team of experienced Implementation Managers. In your day‑to‑day work, you will interact regularly with members of EPI's Product, Scheme, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams.
To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements
