River Cleanup is seeking a Social Media & Community Coordinator to bring our stories and campaigns to life across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. This hands-on role covers planning, creating, publishing, engaging, promoting and reporting, working under the Director of Digital Marketing & Communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in social media, digital communications or related role.
• Experience managing social channels for an organization, brand or agency.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French; both preferred.
• Strong social copywriting and storytelling capabilities.
• Experience shooting and editing short-form video.
• Canva and visual content creation skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage River Cleanup's day-to-day presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
• Create engaging content and actively engage audiences; extend reach.
• Maintain a content calendar aligned with campaigns.
• Coordinate social content with other channels.
• Write platform-tailored copy.
• Shoot and edit short-form video for reels and TikTok.
• Brief external agencies and freelancers.
• Schedule and publish content with brand consistency.
• Identify stories and trends.
• Source content from River Cleanup teams worldwide.
• Manage comments, DMs and community emails with timely responses.
• Engage followers and online communities.
• Build relationships with creators and influencers.
• Surface recurring questions to the team.
• Set up and manage paid campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Monitor, optimize and report campaign performance.
• Track spend and flag budget issues.
• Report on paid campaign results.
• Monitor organic and paid performance across channels.
• Produce regular KPI reporting.
• Identify trends and opportunities.
• Use data to improve daily content execution.
