ACCA Careers in Brussels is seeking a Senior Accountant to reinforce its Accounting & Finance team, ensuring accounting accuracy, tax compliance, statutory reporting and process excellence within a multinational environment.

You will manage monthly, quarterly and annual closes, own VAT compliance and audits, liaise with the Shared Service Center, and partner with business teams to improve controls and drive digitization, including AI-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience within an international or B2B environment.
• Strong understanding of Belgian GAAP and VAT regulations.
• Experience with statutory accounting and external audits.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is a strong asset; Fluent in English and French; Dutch is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
• Acting as the accounting reference point for the Belgian entity and overseeing the quality of accounting transactions processed by the Shared Service Center.
• Taking ownership of VAT compliance, tax-related reporting, and statutory obligations across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Coordinating annual audits and supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Partnering with business teams to provide accounting and tax guidance on commercial and operational activities.
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and group accounting policies.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to digitization and automation projects, including the adoption of innovative technologies and AI-driven solutions.
