Helios Software Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. You will work with the Senior Director of Finance and Head of Finance in a hybrid role that includes occasional travel to other group offices for period closings and audits.

You will lead month-end close, perform complex journal entries, reconcile inter-company accounts, and prepare payroll tax and VAT returns. Strong accrual accounting and ERP experience (Netsuite) are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
• Multi-currency and multi-divisional experience are key requirements
• Professional qualification in bookkeeping and/or accounting is an asset
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel
• Netsuite experience is a plus
• Detail oriented self‑starter with problem solving skills
• Fluency in English required; Dutch/German/French a plus
• Authorized to work in Belgium or neighboring countries

Responsabilités

• Perform financial period close tasks and complex journal entries/accounting analysis
• Balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
• Vendor follow-ups and cost accruals for P&L review
• Process payments and ensure proper approvals
• Reconcile inter-company transactions
• Prepare payroll tax returns, VAT, and ICP declarations
• Ensure key controls are followed and maintained
• Prepare financial KPIs and review for accuracy
• Lead statutory audits and yearly closing of financials
• Prepare ad-hoc performance analyses and management reporting
• Monthly variance analysis of actuals vs. budget/forecast
• Oversee AP/AR analysts, coach and onboard the team
• Participate in special projects
