Michael Page International (Belgium) is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to design, develop and maintain C-based firmware for next-generation embedded products in a global R&D environment.

You will work in a hybrid role, collaborating with international teams, performing testing, debugging and optimization, and supporting product releases and revisions across hardware platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering.
• 7+ years in embedded firmware development.
• Strong C programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded communication protocols.
• Proficient with UART, I2C, ADC, PWM, EEPROM, interrupts, timers.
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Familiar with Git and standard SDLC tools.
• Knowledge of test-driven development an advantage.
• Able to collaborate with international teams; strong communication in English.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
• Develop reliable software for next-gen embedded products.
• Create test plans and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate firmware.
• Perform RCA, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Optimize inter-component communication in embedded systems.
• Support new product development, releases, and revisions.
• Manage firmware revisions and engineering change activities.
• Use source control and issue-management tools.
