Job summary

Stott and May Inc. seeks a Freelance Technical Infrastructure Architect for Web Hosting and Web Security in Brussels. You will craft detailed technical designs, drive performance analyses, and lead investigations into production incidents, ensuring scalable and secure web infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Engineers and DevOps in a hybrid setting from Brussels, focusing on WebSphere, cloud IaaS/PaaS, and security integration. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

5+ years of infrastructure architecture experience in enterprise environments.
Broad knowledge of web hosting technologies (WebSphere, Kubernetes, Tomcat, IIS, HTTP servers).
Broad knowledge of web security technologies (ISVA, F5 WAF, API gateways, HSM, OAuth2, TLS).
Experience in cloud environments and Agile delivery.
Fluent English; French and/or Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide Web Hosting and Web Security architectural expertise to projects and artefacts.
Develop and own Detailed Technical Design (DTD) documents for new or updated projects.
Analyse end-to-end application flows to identify bottlenecks and ensure performance and scalability.
Lead technical investigations into production incidents using logs and APM data.
Run performance benchmarking and capacity planning for WebSphere and cloud environments.
Review and validate designs with stakeholders and contribute to reference architectures.
Collaborate with Security, Network and DevOps for end-to-end solution delivery.
Monitor application performance and identify risks before impact.
Identify cost savings through optimisation and retirement of legacy components.
