Optimus Life Sciences is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer/Lead for pharmaceutical projects in Belgium. The role focuses on delivering HVAC engineering for GMP environments, with emphasis on cleanrooms and complex systems, and ownership of technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

The position targets professionals with pharmaceutical/Life Sciences exposure, capable of coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting construction through handover, and driving design reviews

Qualifications

• HVAC-focused role in pharma/Life Sciences environments.
• Experience with cleanrooms and GMP is preferred.
• Lead or senior HVAC ownership experience is valuable.

HVAC Engineer / Lead - Pharmaceutical Projects - Belgium

I am currently supporting a major engineering organisation with an ongoing requirement for experienced HVAC Engineers / HVAC Leads across pharmaceutical projects in the Flemish region of Belgium.

This is a long-term opportunity to support major Life Sciences projects, with particular interest in engineers experienced in GMP environments, cleanrooms and complex HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:

• HVAC engineering and project delivery
• Design review and technical coordination
• Cleanroom and GMP HVAC systems
• AHUs and associated mechanical systems
• System ownership and technical support
• Coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Support through construction, commissioning and handover
• Client, contractor and supplier coordination

Requirements:

• Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences experience highly preferred
• Experience with cleanroom and GMP environments
• Previous experience as an HVAC Engineer, Lead or System Owner
• Dutch/Flemish advantageous but not mandatory
• Freelance and permanent candidates considered
