Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to reinforce our Electrification & Automation team in Belgium. You will design, implement, and commission high voltage networks for power system protection projects, serving as the technical expert and single point of contact for customers.

You will translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions, lead project engineering activities, and provide training to customers or colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in energy, electrical or electromechanical engineering.
• First experience in engineering function of HV electrical protection and control systems.
• Experience in hardware studies for electrical protection systems.
• In-depth knowledge of HV and MV electrical networks.
• Knowledge of communication protocols for electrical protection systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of Siemens Siprotec protection relays and Digsi configuration software is a plus.
• Dutch and English fluent, with good understanding of French.

Responsabilités

• Be technical expert for protection of power system elements.
• Technical clarification of the project with the customer through client meetings.
• Engineering of the project: concept and design; functional analysis; software development; hardware configuration; testing; installation and commissioning.
• Give training to customers or colleagues.
• Translate customer needs into concrete achievements and discuss with expert clients.
