Jan De Nul is seeking an HSE Manager for our Liège region to oversee safety across major civil projects, including datacenter expansion. You will lead safety inspections, implement policies, and train site teams while liaising with management to keep projects safe and compliant.

The role requires Level 2 safety advisor certification, 8+ years in construction safety, and strong English/French communication. A permanent on-site position with an attractive benefits package is offered.

Your Work ContextFor the region of Liège, we are looking for an HSE Manager who has a good knowledge of both English and French. You will be involved in our prestigious civil projects such as the expansion of new datacenter. As an HSE Manager you are also responsible for implementing and monitoring the safety policy. You work closely with site management and ensure that the projects run smoothly and safely.Your RoleIn the morning, you start the day with a tour of the site. You put on your personal protective equipment and have a chat with the site manager, before heading out to the site together: How is the project going? What's planned for the next few weeks and months? Have there been any difficulties or problems? Are there things you need to know or can help resolve?During your tour, you observe the work with the site team and check that safety agreements are being followed. You have a conversation with the people working there and you are interested in what they are doing. Is there a problem with the safety of the works? Then you address it diplomatically.A brief summary of some of your duties:You will monitor the safety and progress of the work for the projects under your responsibility at various stages of implementation by conducting risk analyses and safety inspections.To do so, you consult with site and project management and engage with foremen, workers and subcontractors.You prepare reports and develop safety procedures and toolbox meetings.You prepare project-specific documents (HSE implementation plan, emergency plan, inspection and testing plan).You help organize safety training sessions.You observe and analyze safety issues that occur on a job site and log them correctly through our platform. You also follow up on these incidents.You investigate accidents that occur on site.
