Job summary

Catalay in Belgium seeks a seasoned HSE Manager to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment while promoting employee well-being and a strong safety culture. You will lead risk assessments, audits, training, and incident analysis, acting as the safety contact for multiple units and guiding teams.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Safety Management (or related field), 8–10 years in a similar role, and fluency in French and Dutch with English knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Safety Management or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in a similar HSE leadership role.
• Prevention Advisor Level 1 certificate or willingness to obtain it.
• Fluent in French and Dutch; good English knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of EN9100 and ISO 14001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.
• Assess workplace risks and advise on improvements.
• Verify compliance with safety regulations and requirements.
• Conduct research to improve employee well-being and safety culture.
• Lead internal and external audits and analyze incidents.
• Be the primary contact for safety queries and train staff.
• Contribute to Well-being at Work Act tasks and risk analyses.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and team development.
• Ensure implementation of safety, health, and environmental rules within the team.
