Sibelco, located in Dessel, Belgium, seeks an HR Representative (Hard HR) to ensure compliant, efficient and future-proof people practices. You will advise on Belgian labour law, manage complex employee cases, and lead HR reporting and budgeting activities.

The role collaborates with payroll, HR partners and regional Centres of Excellence. You will drive continuous improvements in compensation, benefits and governance while supporting audits and employee relations initiatives.

Formación

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Law, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience with exposure to labour law, compensation & benefits, industrial relations or HR compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian social legislation and employment law.
  • Experience in employee relations and handling confidential HR matters.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits practices and HR reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and translate into practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality and professional judgment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills are an asset.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an asset.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide expert advice to managers and HR colleagues on Belgian labour law, social legislation, HR policies and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor legislative developments and translate legal changes into practical HR policies and actions.
  • Prepare or check complex personnel cost calculations, severance calculations and other employment-related analyses.
  • Participate in the preparation and implementation of collective labour agreements and company-level HR policies.
  • Act as local Compensation & Benefits point of contact and collaborate with regional and global Centers of Excellence.
  • Support salary review processes, incentive programs and benefits administration.
  • Manage and coordinate HR reporting activities, ensuring accurate data and analytics.
  • Prepare HR dashboards, reports and presentations for management decisions.
  • Coordinate HR compliance activities and support audits.
  • Lead HR projects related to compensation & benefits, mobility, job classification, pension and insurance.
  • Coordinate external HR vendors and drive process improvements.

The role reports to the HR Partner Business Services Dessel HR, Employee and Industrial Relations and works closely with the Payroll Specialist, HR Representative (Soft HR), managers and employees.As the local subject matter expert for labour legislation, compensation & benefits, reporting and industrial relations topics, you provide expert guidance on complex HR matters and translate legislative and policy changes into practical actions for the business.
