Job summary

Air Liquide Industries Belgium is seeking an HR Benefit & Labor Law Manager to lead employee relations and ensure compliance with labor and fiscal laws across Benelux. You will partner with managers and HRBPs to modernize social dialogue, organize social consultations, and implement collective agreements and disciplinary policies.

The role requires strong communication, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to work across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in employee relations and social law.
• Experience in an international matrix organisation.
• Experience and knowledge of Compensation & Benefits topics at Benelux level.
• In-depth knowledge of local labor & fiscal laws and regulations at Benelux level.

Responsibilities

• Participate in HR projects where social consultation or the socio-legal context is important.
• Be a key HR partner for managers and HR Business Partners bringing a new eyes and capacity to renovate the social dialogue and the local social industrial strategy.
• Help with the organization and smooth running of formal & informal social consultation (works council and union delegation) and guide business stakeholders with regard to social consultation.
• Ensure the preparation, negotiation & implementation of company collective labor agreements, employment regulations and agreements.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve employee morale and engagement amid business, cultural and HR transformation.
• Provide guidance and develop policy for the disciplinary process, ensuring fairness and consistency.
• Understand our business lines and contribute to their targets and ambitions.
• Lead initiatives to simplify our compensation & benefits offer in order to reduce our payroll complexity.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in local labor & fiscal laws and regulations thanks to an activity watch in both geographies (Bel and NL).
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Communicate and educate employees on HR policies and procedures.

The HR Benefit & Labor Law Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team, managing employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, deep understanding of labor law, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Employee Relations:

• You participate in (HR) projects where the impact on social consultation or the socio-legal context is important.

Social and Fiscal Law Expertise and Employee Benefits:

• Lead initiatives to simplify our compensation & benefits offer in order to reduce our payroll complexity.
• You stay up-to-date with all changes in local labor& fiscal laws and regulations thanks to an activity watch activity in the both geographies ( Bel and NL).

Policy Development and Implementation:

• Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Communicate and educate employees on HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization.
• You ensure company policies and practices are compliant with legal requirements.
• You advise the management & HR team on legal and regulatory issues related to employment and thanks to your local network brings continuous benchmark insights.
• You manage and respond to legal inquiries and claims related to employment.
• You conduct internal audits to ensure compliance.
• You design, implement and administer Benefits projects that deliver an optimal employee experience.
• You evaluate and recommend changes to benefit plans based on employee needs, market trends, and cost analysis.
