Elia Group in Belgium is seeking a Tower Designer (Calculations) to implement and check high-voltage tower designs for Elia projects. You will prepare and check plans, production files and ensure quality with internal and external partners.

You will collaborate with design engineers and other designers to deliver compliant solutions, while coordinating schedules and documentation for project success. This role offers remote-friendly work aspects and diverse development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or secondary diploma, preferably in structural steel.
• Ability to draw up implementation plans and production files.
• Ability to interpret existing plans and structures.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French; basic English advantageous.
• Team player, communicative and customer-oriented; able to work with other teams and external parties.
• Familiar with 3D models and how they are developed.
• Familiar with CAD programs (Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD); Tekla knowledge is a major advantage.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); MS Project advantageous.
• Interest in the technical development of design tools; BIM knowledge advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Drawing up plans for new or existing structures (specifically structural steel).
• Putting together production files.
• Performing checks and providing all the documents and plans required for the proper execution of the project.
• Working with external engineering firms for certain projects and ensuring monitoring and quality through checks.
• Ensuring the quality of solutions and their consistency with other disciplines.
• Monitoring your schedule and reporting to the team supervisor.
• Working in a project team with internal and external designers and experts.
