The Head of Product Management LIMS/LIS Clinical Diagnostics is accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of the IT product “LIMS/LIS – Clinical Diagnostics Europe”, from strategy and roadmap definition through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. The product is the main target Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for our Clinical Diagnostics business in Europe, as well as for other businesses worldwide.

This is a leadership role with responsibility for a team of up to six people, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and other related profiles.

The role represents the voice of the business and its users, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, compliance, and cost efficiency.

The Head of Product Management works closely with business stakeholders and different IT roles, such as IT Architects, IT Developers, IT Deployment Managers, IT Operations Engineers, and IT Quality Managers, to ensure that the product delivers measurable value, aligns with Eurofins’ strategy, and is operated sustainably.

POSITION & OBJECTIVES:

• Define and maintain theproduct vision, objectives, and value proposition.
• Translate business strategy into aclear product roadmap.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
• Own product success metrics (value, adoption, satisfaction, cost).

Stakeholder & Business Alignment

• Act as thesingle point of contactfor the product.
• Collect, analyze, and prioritize business needs and user feedback.
• Facilitate decision-making between business, IT, and external partners.
• Communicate roadmap, priorities, and trade-offs transparently.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and related profiles.
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to ensure clear ownership and effective collaboration.
• Establish appropriate product governance, decision-making processes, and ways of working.
• Ensure consistency in product management practices across the team.
• Own and maintain theproduct backlog.
• Define and prioritizeepics, features, and requirementsbased on value.
• Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and understood by delivery teams.
• Balance functional, non-functional, regulatory, and operational needs.
• Identify and document thebusiness valueof IT requirements
• Arbitrate with business sponsors the need and value of IT requirement

Delivery & Execution

• Work closely with delivery teams (internal or external) to plan and deliver increments.
• Support sprint planning, reviews, and demos as needed.
• Ensure delivered solutions meetbusiness expectations and quality standards.
• Validate outcomes with stakeholders and users.

Lifecycle, Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with support and operations to ensurestable and efficient run.
• Identify improvement opportunities based on usage data, incidents, and feedback.
• Drive continuous optimization of value, cost, and user experience.
• Support forecasting and budget tracking for the product.
• Contribute to business cases and cost/benefit analyses.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers where applicable.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide regular status updates and product reporting to stakeholders.
• Prepare dashboards on value, adoption, delivery progress, and risks.
• Lead or participate inProduct Review / Steering meetings.

Professional Experience

• Proven experience in a senior Product Management, Head of Product, Product Lead, or similar role in a complex IT environment.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams of up to six people, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Functional Analysts.
• Experience withLaboratory and/or Clinical Diagnostics experience is required.
• Strong understanding of software and IT product lifecycles, from strategy and roadmap definition to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders across Business, IT, and external vendors.
• Familiarity with agile and/or hybrid delivery models such as Scrum and SAFe.

Technical & Domain Knowledge

• A background in the TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) industry and/or Healthcare is a plus.
• Experience with LIMS/LIS products or LIMS development is a plus.
• Broad understanding of IT systems, applications, integrations, and data flows.
• Experience with ITSM and delivery tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Awareness of security, data privacy, compliance, and regulatory constraints in enterprise IT.
