Job summary

Polysense is building operational intelligence software for food manufacturers from its Ghent HQ. We seek a Head of People to create a performance-first culture, develop a leveling system with comp bands, and coach first‑time managers across a fast‑growing, Series A‑bound team.

You’ll own the performance framework and drive targeted development initiatives. You’ll also guide recruiting early on and shape recognition, mobility budgets, and wage schemes, while partnering with founders to scale the

Qualifications

• Proven TA/recruiting background and ability to tie to performance work.
• Experience coaching managers, including first‑time managers.
• Experience developing structured people processes beyond sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the performance framework and leveling grid.
• Lead internal comms to standardize a single bar across teams.
• Coach managers on feedback, handling low performers, and career paths.
• Design targeted L&D for skill gaps and career progression.
• Lead compensation- and mobility-related projects with a lean, scalable approach.
• Perform hands-on recruiting early on, then transition to broader leadership duties.
