Job summary

Augeas is seeking a Head of Hardware in Brussels to own end-to-end physical product development. You will shape the hardware roadmap for our waste containers, from prototype to scalable manufacturing, and lead a small early team.

You will combine hands-on firmware, PCB design, CAD and rapid prototyping with an entrepreneurial mindset to ship fast, iterate, and push for scale across markets. Equity via stock options is offered.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in developing hardware and mechatronic systems.
• Solid experience in firmware development and PCB design.
• Strong skills in CAD software and rapid prototyping tools (e.g. 3D printing).
• Experience managing the transition from prototypes to manufacturable scale.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: autonomous, creative, driven, hardworking, ready to build fast and iterate.

• Lead all physical product development for Augeas hardware portfolio.

The mission

E-bikes and e-scooters took over cities worldwide. Augeas is doing the same for waste: connected, incentivized containers deployed in emerging markets, starting with Conakry, Guinea.

As Head of Hardware, you lead all physical product development, from our current 25 containers to thousands deployed across many countries. You are one of the first two hires and you shape the product and the team.

What you bring
