Job summary

Augeas is building connected waste containers and is hiring a Head of Software to lead all software development, from prototype to a scalable solution serving millions. You will shape the product and the team and be among the first two hires.

The role requires solid expertise in IoT, embedded systems, full-stack development, AI/CV, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Start date options: 1/12/2026 or 1/01/2027. Language: French or English. Equity via stock option plan.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in IoT systems and wireless communication, with secure data transfer from devices to the cloud.
• Strong skills in embedded systems and firmware development
• Solid full-stack software development (backend and frontend): apps, dashboards and analytics tools
• Strong background in AI and computer vision

E-bikes and e-scooters took over cities worldwide. Augeas is doing the same for waste: connected containers deployed in emerging markets, starting with Conakry, Guinea.

As Head of software, you lead all software development, from today’s prototype system to a fully integrated solution covering millions of inhabitants in a couple of years. You are one of the first two hires and you shape the product and the team.
