TUI is seeking a Head of Customer Data Science & AI to shape how advanced analytics, ML and AI fuel superior customer experiences across Marketing, Sales & Customers. You will set the strategic direction for AI innovation and translate emerging technologies into scalable business value.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in Data Science/ML/AI, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading full lifecycle AI/ML solutions from strategy to deployment.
• Experience building models for CRM and digital personalisation across regions.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and develop talent.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders; ability to explain complex tech clearly.
• Experience with personalisation, customer analytics, recommendations or LLMs.

About The Job

• You'll define and deliver the strategic vision, roadmap and direction for Data Science and AI across TUI's Marketing, Sales & Customers organisation, ensuring initiatives support enterprise goals and customer needs.
• Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll identify high-value opportunities for advanced analytics, machine learning and AI, building strong business cases that deliver measurable impact.
• You'll lead the development, deployment and optimisation of AI and machine learning solutions that enhance customer engagement, personalisation, business performance and decision-making.
• Through effective governance, you'll establish frameworks that support responsible AI, ethical decision-making, regulatory compliance and alignment with TUI's values.
• You'll champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies, including generative AI, and turning new capabilities into practical solutions that improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
• As a recognised leader within the organisation, you'll help foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the wider data science community.

About You

• You have proven success leading Data Science, Machine Learning or AI teams within complex organisations and delivering measurable business value through advanced analytics initiatives.
• A strong understanding of machine learning methodologies, AI applications and advanced analytics enables you to translate technical opportunities into meaningful commercial outcomes.
• 10+ years’ experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• You’ll bring experience leading the full lifecycle of AI and machine learning solutions, from strategy and experimentation through to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Experience building and deploying data science models for CRM and digital personalisation in a scaled consumer business, delivering impact across multiple regions, ideally within a large corporate environment.
• You will have proven leadership skills allowing you to build high-performing teams, develop talent and create an environment where innovation, learning and collaboration can flourish.
• You're comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and can communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way to a variety of audiences.
• Experience with personalisation, customer analytics, recommendation systems, generative AI or large language models would be highly advantageous.
