Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Principal Engineer – Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, Global Product Integration, to lead cross-functional efforts in pilot-plant readiness, process transfer, and external collaborations in a multinational setting.

Based in Beerse, the role emphasizes right-first-time manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvements across oral solids, liquids, and parenteral products.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)chemical or mechanical engineering, or other discipline within pharmaceutical/biotechnology sciences with at least 10 years experience in GMP regulated pharmaceutical development/engineering area.
• Familiarity with oral solid dosage, liquid, and/or parenteral product manufacturing; knowledge of spray drying, extrusion, and continuous manufacturing; basic understanding of PAT desirable.
• Experience in regulated environments (FDA standards and GMP guidelines) and knowledge of applicable regulations.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with risk management knowledge.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills to partner across levels and groups.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsabilités

• Dynamic Project Leadership and Coordination.
• Act as PSES representative in Drug Product Development and Clinical Supply Chain project teams, ensuring DP clinical readiness.
• Serve as the primary internal contact within development and pilot-plant operations, fostering cross-functional relationships.
• Identify, lead, and navigate critical path milestones; manage risks and implement corrective actions.
• Take ownership of dedicated project budget to fulfill financial commitments.
• Drive evolution of workflows for early development pilot-plant tech transfers and manufacturing.
• Endorse manufacturing instructions and specs in collaboration with internal teams.
• Cultivate manufacturing sciences expertise across platforms through cross-functional collaboration.
