Job summary

Michael Page (Belgium) is寻 seeking a Finance Controller for the Luxembourg finance team, overseeing accounting, tax and transformation projects across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in financial controlling or statutory accounting, strong IFRS and local GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems and complex governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Statutory Accounting or External Audit.
• Experience in multinational and multi-entity environments; IFRS and local GAAP knowledge (HGB/Belgian GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with group accounting standards, internal controls and financial governance requirements.
• Review and monitor monthly balance sheet and P&L reporting for data integrity and accuracy.
• Prepare and coordinate annual statutory financial statements per local regulations (IFRS/GAAP).
• Oversee corporate tax, VAT and local tax compliance with tax specialists.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and coordinate audit stages.
• Partner with shared service centers and internal stakeholders across accounting, treasury, legal and tax.
• Deliver accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting.
• Support tax inspections, regulatory reviews and audit requests.
• Participate in legal entity restructurings including mergers and reorganizations.
• Contribute to finance transformation and ERP improvements.
