Job summary

Maersk Customs Services is seeking a Customs Process Administrator to coordinate and organize the full range of customs services, from order acceptance to release of goods and customs clearance.

A CPA will receive extensive internal and external training including online training for customs legislation and foreign trade, with daily support to ensure accuracy and timely processing within an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant customs experience/certification is an advantage.
• Local customs authorities’ knowledge is an asset.
• One of the relevant Customs software is a plus.
• Outlook and user level experience of Microsoft applications.
• Customer-facing and interaction skills with high-level of customer orientation.
• Team engagement and support
• The ability to meet deadlines.
• Communicative English and Dutch is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and be able to perform customs clearances including certificates, solve and offer solutions to incidents.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all financial activities relevant to Customs House Brokerage
• Collate and present data reports to Management, Customer, Internal Stakeholders, Compliance and Implementation Teams
• Ensuring that all local customs authorities’/statutory requirements are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders for the team.
• To be an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise.
• Proactively lead or actively participate in Customs related projects
• To ensure training is completed to allow you to cover all accounts in the team.
• To engender team spirit and staff engagement.
