Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Belgium is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to design, develop, administer and optimize enterprise geospatial solutions. You will work with advanced GIS platforms, spatial databases, remote sensing technologies and web mapping applications to deliver high-quality geospatial services and insights that support business and operational decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Formal GIS training and/or professional GIS certifications.
• Nice to Have: Esri Technical Certifications (ArcGIS Pro Associate or Professional).

Responsabilités

• Define GIS strategies, reference architectures, standards and best practices.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and design GIS solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Develop GIS processes, automation scripts, and custom geospatial applications.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis, geostatistics, network analysis, modelling and geoprocessing.
• Design and create cartographic products, thematic maps, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Develop and maintain GIS web applications and OGC-compliant web services (WMS, WFS, WMTS).
• Integrate GIS platforms with ERP, CRM, BI tools, and external data sources.
• Ensure compliance with INSPIRE, ISO standards, OGC standards, and geospatial governance frameworks.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to join our team and support the design, development, administration, and optimization of enterprise geospatial solutions. The successful candidate will work with advanced GIS platforms, spatial databases, remote sensing technologies, and web mapping applications to deliver high-quality geospatial services and insights that support business and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Define GIS strategies, reference architectures, standards, and best practices.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and design GIS solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Develop GIS processes, automation scripts, and custom geospatial applications.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis, geostatistics, network analysis, modelling, and geoprocessing.
• Design and create cartographic products, thematic maps, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Process and analyze remote sensing and earth observation data, including classification and change detection.
• Create, maintain, and manage GIS datasets while ensuring compliance with metadata and data standards.
• Administer GIS platforms, databases, user access, security, performance tuning, and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain GIS web applications and OGC-compliant web services (WMS, WFS, WMTS).
• Monitor and optimize GIS architecture for scalability, reliability, availability, and performance.
• Implement data validation rules, quality assurance procedures, and automated workflows.
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise systems, APIs, ERP, CRM, BI tools, and external data sources.
• Ensure compliance with INSPIRE Directive, ISO standards, OGC standards, and geospatial governance frameworks.
• Manage coordinate reference systems (CRS), projections, and spatial transformations.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
