NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is recruiting an Indoor GIS Specialist to support the Indoor GIS program for Facility Management Operations and Maintenance at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

The role focuses on integrating BIM, BMS, IWMS data, configuring ArcGIS solutions, and advancing digital facility management with Indoor GIS technologies on-site in Brussels. A NATO Secret clearance is required for applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional GIS experience in operational environments.
• Active NATO Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Indoors configurations.
• Experience deploying web-based GIS dashboards and mobile solutions.
• Experience designing geospatial data models and governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to document architectures and workflows in detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support the implementation and continuous development of the Indoor GIS strategy
• Define GIS technologies, data models, and workflows supporting operations and maintenance activities
• Execute GIS implementation projects from planning through deployment
• Integrate and manage data from BIM, BMS, IWMS, and other Facility Management systems
• Configure and maintain ArcGIS applications, including Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, and Indoor Viewer
• Develop automated GIS workflows using ArcGIS ModelBuilder, ArcPy, or similar tools
• Document system architectures, data flows, and geospatial information management processes
• Collaborate with Facility Management, BIM, and technical stakeholders
• Support innovation and digitalization initiatives through geospatial technologies

NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting an Indoor GIS Specialist to support the implementation and expansion of an Indoor GIS program for Facility Management Operations and Maintenance at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The successful candidate will develop and maintain GIS solutions that integrate information from Building Information Models (BIM), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS). They will help establish sustainable geospatial workflows, configure GIS applications, and support the digitalization of facility operations through innovative Indoor GIS technologies.

Work Environment

• Full‑time position supporting NATO Headquarters in Brussels
• Primarily on‑site within a multidisciplinary Facility Management and Digital Transformation team
• Limited telework may be approved in exceptional circumstances
• No travel requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Geospatial Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Facility Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of professional GIS experience, including the design, implementation, or support of GIS solutions in operational environments
• Active NATO Secret Security Clearance
• Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and experience configuring ArcGIS Indoors solutions
• Demonstrated experience configuring and deploying web‑based GIS applications, dashboards, and mobile solutions
• Experience designing geospatial data models and data governance frameworks
• Experience configuring ArcGIS Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, and related web GIS applications
• Experience building automated workflows using ArcPy, ModelBuilder, Python, or related technologies
• Experience integrating GIS with enterprise data sources, databases, BIM platforms, asset management systems, or building systems
• Experience documenting system architecture, workflows, and technical implementation approaches
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred

• Previous experience supporting NATO, government, defense, critical infrastructure, or other highly regulated and security‑sensitive environments
• Experience integrating GIS with BIM environments
• Knowledge of Facility Management systems and workflows
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS)
• Experience supporting digitalization and smart building initiatives
