Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a seasoned Business/Functional Analyst to shape digital solutions for a gas flow management system in Brussels. You will lead requirements gathering, create UML/BPMN models, and translate needs into user stories for cross-functional teams operating in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, backlog and sprint management, and hands-on testing and training like product demonstrations.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in functional and business analysis within Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS).
Proficiency in UML and BPMN modeling.
Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect and Confluence for modeling and documentation.
Knowledge of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
Experience with backlog and sprint management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of simplifying complex challenges.
Proactive and collaborative with excellent stakeholder management.
Fluent in English with good command of French or Dutch, and willingness to improve.

Responsibilities

Facilitate workshops/interviews with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
Translate business needs into use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and information models.
Refine requirements into user stories and collaborate with developers for sprint delivery.
Execute functional tests and support users during acceptance testing and training.
Manage service requests and production issues; suggest continuous improvements.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives).
