Job summary

ECOS – European Environmental Citizens Organisation for Standardisation is seeking experts in the furniture sector to represent environmental interests in standards development and related policies.

Experts provide technical and scientific input and may represent ECOS in standardisation processes and multi-stakeholder discussions. Responsibilities include contributing to ECOS position papers, meeting participation, and liaison with ECOS officers and member organisations.

Qualifications

• In-depth technical and scientific knowledge of the furniture industry and its circular economy potential.
• Knowledge of substances of concern and standardisation processes is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical meetings of CEN (and possibly ISO) to promote ECOS position.
• Prepare technical input through comments and ECOS position papers or policy responses.
• Report to and liaise with the ECOS Programme Officer.
• Exchange information with ECOS member organisations and other experts when needed.
