Job summary

ECOS - European Environmental Citizens Organisation for Standardisation seeks experts in bioeconomy and nature, including forestry, agriculture, food/feed, bioenergy and biomaterials. Candidates should show deep technical knowledge and contribute to ECOS positions and standards development.

Fluency in English and willingness to travel are required; geography covers Europe, Africa and international levels, with collaboration to EU groups and standardisation bodies.

Qualifications

• Deep technical knowledge in ecological management practices such as agroecology, ecological forestry, sustainable soil management.
• Experience with environmental assessment tools evaluating ecosystem health, biodiversity, soil, water and life cycle assessments of bio-based products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CEN/ISO technical meetings and EU Expert Group meetings to promote ECOS positions.
• Prepare technical input through official comments and ECOS position papers.
• Report to and liaise with ECOS staff and member organisations.
• Exchange information with ECOS members and other experts as needed.
