ITS Group Benelux is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst for a major transformation program in Brussels. You will play a key role in developing business solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure functional needs are met.

This full-time position supports a flexible work environment, allowing for home working up to three days a week. Ideal candidates have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in IT.

About the Job

Great assignments await you with our key account clients in rich and varied environments. In the context of a major business transformation program, we are looking for a senior functional analyst to reinforce the existing teams.

Responsibilities

• Developing strong and long-term relationships with stakeholders (business and project stakeholders, team managers and partners)
• Detailed identification, analysis, description and validation of existing business processes and new functional needs of the users.
• Translating requirements into business solutions by creating functional analysis and application designs.
• Working together with technical team members to validate the functional design and create the translation to technical specifications.
• End-to-end follow-up on the delivery of new functionalities and/or applications.
• Producing all documentation needed throughout the different stages of projects.
• Working closely with business analysts and developers under supervision of the project manager/coordinators to refine and validate proposed solutions.
• Working closely with project managers to report status, facilitate decisions, manage risks and escape as needed.
• Delivering software requirements specifications (including diagrams, analysis, etc.), data model, test plan and cases.

Mission & Working Hours

Location: Brussels (right in front of South Station). Initial contract, long‑term mission can be extended. 5 days a week (Monday–Friday) 7h48 per day. Homeworking possible (3 days a week).

Skills & Qualifications

• Languages: French or Dutch (active knowledge, technical documentation); English (writing documentation).
• Very good functional and business analysis skills to assimilate complex material quickly.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with business and development team.
• Solution and customer oriented.
• Good ability to abstract complex material.
• Willing to change business context regularly.
• Ability to integrate easily into an existing team and supervise juniors.
• Familiar with AGILE/SCRUM methodologies.
• Technical knowledge of J2EE, Java8, Oracle, Hibernate, Junit, Selenium, Maven, GIT, JIRA.
• Reliable grasp of technical language for functional analyses (APIs, mappings, business model, batches, services).
• Business analysis – interface with the client, helps define needs.
• Second national language a plus.
• Confluence Level Junior; Functional Analysis (UML) Level Confirmed; Test Analysis & Design Level Confirmed; User stories writing Level Junior.
• Belgian nationality required.

About You

• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in IT.
• Fluency in FR/ENG or NL/ENG is best.
• Eager to learn, motivated and curious.
