You will manage and execute test plans, document processes, and collaborate with the development team to enhance existing applications. Ideal candidates will have a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, strong attention to detail, and communication skills. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, or initial experience in software testing.
• Experience with functional testing and non-functional testing knowledge.
• Ability to work with documentation for defining test scenarios.

• Proactive with ability to prioritize while keeping big picture in mind; time pressure is possible.
• Strong communication for collaboration within team and with clients.
• Familiarity with Cypress or Playwright and Atlassian stack; test management tools like Xray.

Responsibilities

As a Functional Tester, you will:

• Determine which types of testing need to be performed
• Set up and maintain testing frameworks
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan quality testing activities
• Document processes within our applications
• Ensure that products meet both customer expectations and requirements
• Work closely with the development team to improve existing products

Requirements

What you bring as a Functional Tester:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, or solid initial experience in software testing; ISTQB knowledge or certification is a plus
• Experience with functional testing and knowledge of non‑functional testing, test automation, software defects, and tracking inconsistencies
• Strong attention to detail, a perfectionist mindset, and a structured way of working
• Ability to work with documentation to define test scenarios and create clear, structured reports for colleagues
• A proactive mindset with the ability to set priorities while keeping the bigger picture in mind (even under time pressure)
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team and with clients
• Experience with automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright is a plus, as well as familiarity with the Atlassian stack (JIRA/Confluence) and test management tools like Xray
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, and very good knowledge of English
• Bonus: experience in working in an Agile environment
