Job summary

EngiFlex BV seeks a Functional SAP FS-CD Consultant (Freelance) to lead end-to-end design, configuration and support of the SAP FS-CD subledger, including FI-CO integration and insurance-specific processes.

You will run workshops, translate requirements into designs, document decisions, perform testing (UAT) and deliver training and documentation. Nearshore/offshore arrangements and a flexible freelance arrangement are possible.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP FS-CD.
• Expert knowledge of FS-CD functional architecture and G/L integration with SAP FI-CO.
• Strong expertise in integrating SAP Core Insurance systems FS-PM, FS-CM and FS-ICM.
• Understanding of collection and payment processes in major insurance lines (P&C/Non-Life, Health or Auto).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse insurance business requirements related to collections, payments, receivables, disbursements and account management.
• Lead workshops with business stakeholders and process owners.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP solution designs.
• Assess gaps between standard SAP FS-CD functionality and business requirements.
• Configure and maintain SAP FS-CD functionality across all functional areas.
• Configure and set up the SAP FI-CO integration.
• Document business processes, functional requirements, configuration decisions and solution designs.
• Define functional requirements for interfaces between FS-CD and other SAP or non-SAP solutions.
• Specify posting and accounting requirements.
• Work with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, APIs, jobs and data flows.
• Analyse integration errors and determine root causes.
• Support end-to-end reconciliation between source apps, FS-CD and financial accounting.
• Design detailed functional specs for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms (RICEF).
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing and UAT.
• Provide comprehensive training and documentation.

Tasks and responsibilities

Role overview

The SAP FS-CD Functional Consultant is responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration and support of the SAP subledger module. The role requires a thorough understanding of collections and disbursement processing, solid general financial accounting knowledge and strong SAP FS-CD configuration skills. You will help deliver tailored insurance solutions and support regulatory compliance.

Functional consulting and configuration

• Analyse insurance business requirements related to collections, payments, receivables, disbursements and account management.
• Lead workshops with business stakeholders and process owners.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP solution designs.
• Assess gaps between standard SAP FS-CD functionality and business requirements.
• Recommend standard SAP functionality where appropriate and limit unnecessary custom development.
• Configure and maintain SAP FS-CD functionality across all functional areas.
• Configure and set up the SAP FI-CO integration.
• Document business processes, functional requirements, configuration decisions and solution designs.
• Define functional requirements for interfaces between FS-CD and other SAP or non-SAP solutions.
• Specify posting and accounting requirements.
• Work with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, APIs, jobs and data flows.
• Analyse integration errors and determine whether the root cause is business data, configuration, interface logic or custom development.
• Support end-to-end reconciliation between source applications, FS-CD and financial accounting.

Required qualifications and experience

• Expert knowledge of the FS-CD functional architecture, including configuration of the subledger Process Model and the definition of G/L integration with SAP FI-CO.
• At least 4 years of dedicated, hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP FS-CD.
• Strong expertise in integrating SAP Core Insurance systems such as FS-PM, FS-CM and FS-ICM.
• Strong understanding of collection and payment processes in at least one major insurance line such as P&C/Non-Life, Health or Auto.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Language

• French is a plus.

Location

Nearshore/offshore.

• Experience as a medior functional analyst.
• Dutch or French.
• Familiarity with C is a plus.
