Ferranti Computer Systems is seeking a Functional Consultant to bridge business and IT for MECOMS. You translate processes into functional requirements, guide workshops, and configure the MECOMS platform to meet client needs.

You will collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure value delivery. You will lead functional tracks such as billing, CRM, and contract management, document designs, and support testing and go-live activities, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing ERP solutions such as MECOMS or similar.
• Knowledge of energy & utilities domain is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft technologies.
• Ability to analyze business processes and model requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation and meeting facilitation skills.

Energy & Utilities are evolving rapidly through digitalisation and the energy transition.

At Ferranti, we help utilities move forward with our cloud platform MECOMS 365 — and we’re looking for a Functional Consultant to bridge business and IT and turn complex processes into workable solutions.

In a nutshell

As Functional Consultant, you play a key role in guiding our customers through the implementation of the MECOMS solution. You translate business processes into clear functional requirements and support clients in optimizing their operations. Working closely with project managers, developers, and customer stakeholders, you ensure that the solution aligns with business needs and industry standards. You participate in workshops, document functional designs, configure the application, and support testing and go-live activities. In this role, you act as a trusted advisor, helping clients adopt best practices and get the most value out of the MECOMS platform.

Your responsibilities

• Communicate in-depth with the client to understand their business processes & needs (leading workshops, meetings, …).
• Evaluate the customer’s business processes against the defined solution, write functional design documents, and provide accurate estimates.
• Configure the defined solution to meet the customer’s needs.
• Guide the client in optimizing business processes, following standard best practices.
• Collaborate with developers and/or partners to ensure proper implementation of required modifications.
• Take the lead in specific functional tracks such as billing, CRM, contract management, … in alignment with best practices.
• Create and execute functional test scenarios & scripts, supporting the client during testing.
• Coach & train colleagues, partners, and clients to enhance their skill levels.
• Initiate & design improvements to our MECOMS product and execute them in 3-weekly sprints.

You have:

• Experience in ERP implementations or strong knowledge of business processes (e.g., billing, CRM, financials).
• Energy & utilities sector experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft technologies is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Business process analysis and modeling expertise.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

You are:

• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
