Jan De Nul Group is seeking a Functional Analyst to bridge business units and the ICT team from our Aalst/Hofstade area. You will analyze processes, translate user needs into ICT projects, and support implementation with testing and training.

Based at our Hofstade/Aalst ICT hub, you will collaborate with Developers and Architects, contribute to documentation, and participate in a continuous improvement culture with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

  • Function as a bridge between departments (legal, financial, logistics) and the ICT department.
  • Analyze business processes through dialogue with users.
  • Outline and optimize automated processes.
  • Translate user needs into ICT projects.
  • Inform developers and architects about business concepts.
  • Deliver project documentation per methodology.
  • Test functionalities during implementation.
  • Train and support users after deployment.

Your Work Context

Would you like to play a key role as a Functional Analyst in optimizing business processes within an international player? In the Aalst / Hofstade region, Jan De Nul Group offers you the opportunity to specialize in business analysis, process optimization, and translating user needs into efficient ICT solutions. From the central offices in Aalst, you will work closely with various departments and the ICT team to develop innovative and high-performing systems that support the organization’s operations worldwide. Meet colleague Anneleen, joined our team as a Functional Analyst over two years ago.

Your Role

To work with our team of Analysts and Developers to further build the business software support for the central services, shipyards and ships, we are looking for a Functional Analyst. Your duties and responsibilities are:

  • Function as a link between the different departments (legal, financial, logistics ...) and the ICT department.
  • Analyze business processes through communication with users.
  • Optimizing and outlining automated processes.
  • Apply appropriate analysis techniques according to user needs.
  • Translate user needs into a clear ICT project.
  • Informing other team members (Developers, Architects) about the business concepts.
  • Delivery of project related documentation according to the methodology used.
  • Testing the functionalities during the implementation process.
  • Support and train the users after implementation.
What do you need?

You hold a master's degree in an economic or ICT field and you have experience as a functional analyst. You can communicate fluently and clearly and from your experience you have a good understanding of both business and ICT processes. You have experience with a project-based approach and UML techniques.

You work locally from our ICT organization in Hofstade/Aalst and can count on a competitive salary and fringe benefits package including the possibility to lease a car.
