Job summary

In4Matic is seeking an experienced software developer to evolve internal applications that support operational needs. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment, maintenance and support, in close collaboration with business analysts and infrastructure teams.

You will participate in technical analysis, develop components with the team, and drive deployments across environments while updating databases and ensuring performance and user-friendly interfaces.

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced software developer to contribute to the evolution of internal applications that support the organization’s operational needs. This opportunity combines hands‑on development with technical analysis, deployment, maintenance, and support, in close collaboration with business analysts, functional analysts, infrastructure specialists, and support teams.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will help build and improve applications used internally by the organization. Your work will span the full development lifecycle, from analysis to support.

• Participate in technical analysis alongside business and functional analysts.
• Develop software components in collaboration with the development team.
• Contribute to deployment, maintenance, and support activities together with infrastructure and helpdesk colleagues.
• Write new programs and enhance existing applications.
• Adapt applications based on technical changes, including hardware and software evolution.
• Update applications in response to regulatory and administrative changes.
• Ensure applications offer a user-friendly interface.
• Analyze and resolve bugs.
• Deploy developments across multiple environments.
• Adjust database structure when needed.
• Improve the performance of existing developments.
• Document completed developments clearly and accurately.

Technical Skills

• Hands‑on development experience in at least one of the following technology areas:
  • JavaScript or TypeScript with React
  • Node.js
  • Java
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Practical exposure to containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience with cloud environments, ideally Azure.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Additional programming language knowledge is considered relevant.
• Experience with REST-based development and Spring Boot is included in the requested profile.

Profile

• You have solid professional experience in IT development and have worked on activities such as coding, improving existing applications, and resolving technical issues.
• You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment with analysts, developers, and support teams.
• You are able to contribute to both development and operational aspects of applications.
• Experience in the federal public sector is an asset.
• Prior exposure to cloud-based code deployment is an advantage.
• Experience acting as a technical lead for a team that includes junior developers is an asset.

• Languages: active knowledge of Dutch, French, and English.
