In4Matic in Belgium is seeking a Senior Java Developer to contribute to the development and modernization of critical business applications within a complex multi-system environment. You will work across greenfield and refactoring efforts, blending hands-on coding with architecture and integration tasks.
You’ll collaborate with analysts, leads, and other developers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help drive testing, documentation, deployment, and reporting activities.

You'll work in a complex and evolving environment where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to both greenfield development and the refactoring or transition of existing applications. The role offers a strong mix of hands-on development, architecture, integration, testing, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
As a senior member of the development team, you'll contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:
You have at least 5-7 years of professional experience in Java development, preferably with a full-stack background, and are comfortable working in complex, multi-system environments.
Your technical expertise includes:
Knowledge of technologies such as Talend, ZK, Oracle, or Kafka is considered a plus. Experience with Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, and modern software engineering practices is expected.
You're a pragmatic problem solver who can quickly understand existing codebases and complex technical environments. You combine strong development skills with a solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset and are comfortable taking ownership of your work. You work well independently but also integrate easily into an established team, with the ability to provide guidance to less experienced developers.
For communication, you have an active working knowledge of either French or Dutch, including understanding, speaking, writing technical documentation, and reading. You also have a good command of English for written communication and collaboration within the team.
