Harmoney is building a scalable platform used by major insurers and financial organizations. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll work across the Angular frontend and Java backend on a large-scale application, delivering end-to-end features.

You’ll own REST APIs, UI components, and database interactions, while focusing on modularity, performance, and security. A collaborative, learning‑minded team culture helps you grow and ship frequently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience or equivalent.
• Experience in Angular frontend and Java backend.
• Hands-on with REST APIs, CSS frameworks, and responsive design.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you'll work across the entire stack of an interesting large-scale application, from our Angular frontend to our Java backend. You'll embrace technical challenges to transform different actor use-cases into the right implementation, building an even more scalable product.

From REST APIs and database design to responsive user interfaces, you'll help create software that thousands of professionals rely on every day, while safeguarding modularity, performance, and security across the stack. You'll play an important role in Harmoney's product development cycle, so we want you to be critical and, above all, a true team player.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain features across our Angular frontend and Java backend
• Develop REST APIs and translate actor use-cases into clean, scalable implementations
• Build responsive user interfaces with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL, knowing their assets and limitations
• Safeguard non-functional requirements such as modularity, performance, and security
• Write unit tests with frameworks like Jasmine and Karma
• Embrace continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to release code changes frequently and reliably
• Spot room for improvement and share it with your team members

You’ll thrive in this role if you...

• Are fluent in English
• Have 3+ years of software development experience or equivalent
• Have experience in Angular software development
• Have experience in Java J2EE software development and Hibernate ORM
• Have hands-on experience with REST APIs, CSS frameworks, and responsive design
• Feel at home in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Have a functional and technical mindset and know how to deal with non-functionals such as modularity, performance, and security
• Are eager to learn and have a problem-solving mindset

Nice to have

• Fluency in Dutch is a plus
• Experience with, or eagerness to learn, software containerization
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with other frontend technologies, GitHub or other distributed version-control systems, or cloud solutions such as Google Cloud
• Experience using AI tools to improve software development workflows
